Hemp is a variety of Cannabis sativa, which is cultivated as a fiber crop or for different industrial purposes. Main uses of hemp are the production of paper, textiles and clothing, insulation materials, biodegradable plastics, bio-fuel, and animal feed.

Hemp is related to Marijuana, but has lower concentrations of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). For this reason, in some countries growing of hemp is not allowed.
