The Lacy Phacelia, also known as Bee's friend, is native to the Southwestern USA and Northern Mexico.
It is often grown as an ornamental plant but in agriculture it is used as a cover crop, a bee plant, and to attract other beneficial insects such as hoverflies (family Syrphidae).
